Carlo A. Palazzese currently serves as President of the American Marketing Association for the South Florida chapter. Carlo brings over 20 years of marketing experience to the AMA chapter highlighted with executive leadership in strategic planning and program management. He has leveraged his diverse background and international exposure in both academic and professional environments and currently serves as Vice President of Marketing at FlightStats, Inc., a Data Technology company based in Portland, OR. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Nova Southeastern University and is an adjunct at Broward College while participating in mentoring programs with Florida International University. He coaches boy’s soccer and lives in Weston, FL.
Lewis previously served AMA South Florida as the VP of Events and subsequently as Chapter President for two terms. Professionally, Lewis oversees the marketing function for Marcum LLP, a national accounting and consulting firm, in the Southeast U.S. Additionally, Lewis is an adjunct professor of marketing with Nova Southeastern University where he has taught courses in the principles of customer relationship management, promotional management, business-to-business marketing, and introduction to marketing. Lewis holds the AMA designation of Professional Certified Marketer and is Inbound Certified by HubSpot. He earned a Bachelor in Business Administration with a double major in International Business and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Business Administration with a Marketing Specialization from Nova Southeastern University.
Yanyn's background is in higher education, and non-profit work. Her specialty revolves around fundraising and creating innovative programming for the constituents she serves. Among many of her passions is mentoring and conducts mentoring of high school students around Miami-Dade County. Yanyn graduated from FIU with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women’s Studies and is currently pursuing her MBA.
Laura’s passion for marketing is due to her participation in the collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association at FIU. During her term serving as Philanthropy Chair, the FIU AMA Chapter was honored with the coveted Gold Chapter of the Year award. Laura continued to serve as the Events Committee Chair on the board of the Marketing Affinity Alumni Council and now serves as VP of Events with South Florida AMA. Professionally, Laura oversees the marketing for the upscale lounge Blue Martini at the Brickell location. She is also in charge of producing and managing all in-house events such as Networking, Fundraisers, Charity, and Corporate Events- amongst many others. Laura graduated from FIU with a Bachelor in Business Administration.
In November 2014, Yasmine Gahed joined the South Florida Business Journal as Director of Advertising, working with local businesses and professional service providers to develop integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital and event platforms. Prior to SFBJ, Yasmine worked for a public relations firm in Miami, developing accounts for a newly-created enterprise technology division. With her roots firmly in the media industry, she spent over 10 years with The Washington Post in Washington, DC managing a team of advertising sales professionals in the Real Estate and Property Management categories, and several years with a niche publication in the Washington, DC Metro area catering to the international and diplomatic communities. She earned an MBA from American University, and a B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
Daniela Pitts is a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience creating and implementing business and marketing strategies for both US and Latin American markets. She is currently a Senior Marketing Manger at American Express where she's managed rewards and loyalty solutions, product management and development and global partnerships in travel and entertainment. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing a Digital Media and Marketing Certificate from Duke University. When she's not working, she enjoys quality time with her husband by running after their three year old twin girls.
For over 7 years, Ginna has worked with some of the world’s leading brands in the media and advertising industry. Her keen eye for strategy and love for connecting people with brands has led her to key roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Turner Broadcasting, AMC Networks, Teads.tv and Marketwired. She possess a strong understanding of the media landscape through a proven track record delivering partner solutions across multiple communication platforms in Broadcast TV and digital media. Ginna holds a BBA in Marketing and International Business from Florida International University. She is an animal rights activist and higher education advocate with a passion for meaningful work. Currently, she serves as VP of Communications for the AMA – South Florida chapter.
